About Review Tactics

Clear research.
Useful decisions.

Review Tactics helps readers assess physical and digital products against everyday needs. We are part of ByteHouseDigital.

What our reviews examine

We look at the buyer’s problem, the exact product or version, published features, practical limitations, and factors such as size, compatibility, care, and capacity. A product can be useful for one person and a poor fit for another.

Research is labeled as research

A research-based review draws on linked manufacturer information, instructions, retailer listings, and other identified sources. It is not a hands-on test. If firsthand testing is included, the review should explain what was tested, how it was tested, and the relevant limitations.

Facts and judgments are different

Published specifications are attributed to their sources. Statements about who a product may suit are editorial judgments. Product photos supplied by a brand or retailer do not establish that we tested performance ourselves.

Ratings, prices, and updates

We do not invent user experiences, testimonials, ratings, or sales figures. A review’s research date shows when its sources were checked. Merchant prices, offers, variants, and availability can change; confirm them with the seller before purchasing.

How this site earns money

Some links are affiliate links. A qualifying purchase may generate a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships are disclosed beside buying links and in our affiliate information. A commission does not establish that a product is right for you.
